Richard Blade in the House

The most important thing to Marc and Sandra was to make sure that their guests had an amazing time at their wedding and we made sure that they got what they wanted!

Their special day began with a beautiful ceremony in our Laguna Ballroom.  The room was draped in white and our LED lights were color coordinated with their wedding colors.  The ceremony was performed by the very characteristic and funny Rev. Todd G. Rodarmel (www.theocweddingguy.com).  He entertained the guests with his humor yet also made sure that the ceremony was performed without a hitch.  

Friends and family were then treated to a phenomenal eight piece Mariachi Band and fully hosted bar...you can never go wrong with a hosted bar!

The ceremony was followed by the reception which was pumped up by none other than Richard Blade from KROQ on the turn tables (www.richardblade.com).  We have been fortunate enough to have had Richard DJ at our venue a few times and he never fails to ROCK the party!  As a result, Marc and Sandra spent most of their evening on the dance floor partying with their guests.

Happy Couples!!!

On August 6th, 2010 Kelly and Matt got married.  They had their ceremony at one of our favorite churches, South Shores Church.  Kelly's sister and two of her other friends had gotten married at Pacific Hills as well.  Not only were we honored of hosting Kelly and Matt's wedding but we were even more excited to have all the couples that had gotten married together at our venue. 

Britney, Kelly's sister, and Patrick got married on August 6th, 2005

Jennifer and Jeremy got married on August 19th, 2007

Jessica and Craig got married on November 11th, 2007

It was a pleasure seeing the lovely couples and thrilled to have coordinated the events.  Congrats to Jennifer and Jeremy...they are expecting to be parents this year!!!!

 

Simple and Elegant

Stephanie and Walter preferred a very simple wedding with a unique touch of elegance.  They chose purple and champagne as their wedding colors and this was represented through all their wedding decor. 

Our guests and clients are constantly inquiring about great photo locations on our venue, and we have plenty areas to show them!  Stephanie and Walter took the opportunity prior to their ceremony to take some amazing pictures at the venue and as you can see below, they came out breath taking!  Our newly redesigned lobby is also highlighted in the pictures below.  Their pictures were taken by one of our favorite photographers, Kevin Derek (www.derekphoto.com).  He has photographed many weddings at our venue and is definitely on our preferred list.  Great images, as always Kevin!
 

Blue and Ivory

Andrea and Ross were a pleasure to work with while planning for their intimate wedding.  Blue is quickly becoming one of the more popular wedding colors and it was no surprise when they chose blue and ivory for their wedding colors.  Their families were kind enough to take over the task of decorating the hall for their special day!  Mom took over the flower arrangements while friends and cousins helped out with party favors and candles.

Their event was a huge success and they did a phenomenal job!  Although their wedding was small, the guests had a great time and stayed until the very end!

Great Music

Its always nice to see family helping out with planning a wedding.  Frank's wedding was certainly no exception.  Erika, Frank's sister, was on top of everything!  From calling the vendors to making sure the decor was perfect, she was a huge help to this bride and groom.  The flowers were done by Liz from Royal Flowers (http://www.royalfloristonline.com/)

They had added many of their own personal touches to the wedding including making great party favors for each guest and these looked unbelievably amazing.  Their DJ, Martin, was by far one of the best DJ's we have ever heard.  Not only did he do a great job with the music but we was awesome on the mic and was making sure everything was organized during the wedding.  His website is www.martinxmusic.com.  Their florist not only did a beautiful job decorating the cake with white orchids with hints of purple but also with her amazing centerpieces. 

Grand Grand Entrance!

Arun and Ashany both live in New York but since Ashany's family lives in So Cal, they decided to have their wedding reception in Orange County. They wanted a 5 STAR wedding and they went all out. We had a little over a year to plan this Indian reception. 
The look was more of a fusion feel with traditional Indian wedding colors such as gold being used for the wedding ceremony and a cool ice blue with plum and deep pinks for accents during the reception.  

Every wedding has a grand entrance but Arun decided to take this to a different level - arriving on an ELEPHANT during the Bharat. This is when the bride’s family receives the groom and his family before the ceremony begins. 3D lead the procession with the guest dancing to Bollywood songs and Arun on the ELEPHANT behind the crowd. He was so calm and cool (I would have been very nervous if I was on top a massive animal like an elephant).  

Since both ceremony and reception were held at Pacific Hills, we really wanted to create two different looks for the reception and the ceremony. 

We used champagne/gold satin linens for the ceremony with a simple lotus flower candle in the middle of each round table, with rose petals. The stage where the actual ceremony took place was covered with matching champagne fabric with floral topiaries hanging from the ceiling.  Ashany wanted a very open 3 dimensional feel for the mundap so we did not do a traditional Indian mundap. Back drop was done with a velvet lavender fabric and hanging crystals and strings of roses. For lunch a vegetarian South Indian buffet was set up.
The Ice blue color looked amazing in the lobby as well as the ballroom during the reception. To give the ballroom a complete different feel from the ceremony, we used 8’ tables from Signature Party in addition to round tables. All of the votives were covered with a plum colored ribbon and all the floating candles were painted plum as well. We brought in a white dance floor with a monogram of their names on it.
Their wedding cake was from Let Them Eat Cake by Christopher Garren in Newport Beach.  The design was extremely detailed and the taste was….amazing!!
In addition to the wedding cake the guest enjoyed an array French pasties and mini cakes for dessert.
Arun and Ashany had us take care of everything from the food to decorations as well recommending their DJ, photographer and videographer, and we really enjoyed working with them.

All the vendors including Sound Nation (www.soundnationla.com), Global Photography (www.globalphotography.net), and Robles Video (www.roblesvideo.com) did a great job making their night a memorable one.

Ethiopian Wedding

Hillina and Ernest wanted a very grand wedding and they definitely needed to plan for one since they were expecting over 500 guests!  They wanted to make sure that the ballroom looked elegant without it being overcrowded.  Many of the details were put together by them and by their very talented coordinator Clara Ross from (www.clarasperfectoccasions.com). This was the first Ethiopian wedding we experienced at our venue and we must say it was definitely one that will have a lasting memory for us.  We had never seen guests have so much fun at a wedding and dance so much.  They hired a great band and a DJ which played both American and Ethiopian songs throughout the night.  We particularly liked all the great Ethiopian songs that they played and all the great customs that were performed during the reception.
