Persian Wedding

Ethnic weddings are always great because you get to see and learn how other cultures celebrate weddings.  Houman and Raha had a beautiful Persian ceremony and reception at Pacific Hills.

The ceremony was held in our Newport ballroom, where we usually host the ceremony for our brides.  The "altar" which Persians call Sofreh-aghd usually encompasses lavish ornaments and sweets that are displayed for guests while the bride and groom tie the "knot".  The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour; served were various eggplant dishes and a variety of other Persian cuisines.  The dinner is always a huge hit! Guests enjoyed chicken and beef kabobs and a variety of different rice dishes.  The wedding was coordinated by Khaterah from www.prestigecoordination.com

A MEXICAN FIEASTA IN THE OC

Kawasaki Motors Corporation honors its employees who have been working for over 10 years at Kawasaki with their annual Shogun Event.  Every year the theme is something different and this year they chose a Mexican Fiesta.

Themes always make events that much more interesting.  For this particular event the guests wore  Mexican sombreros with our staff joining in the fun by wearing multi colored ponchos and sombreros.

The event started with a cocktail hour where we served spicy firecracker burritos, cheese and beans cornucopias and a nacho station with our famous guacamole, 7 layer been dip and some spicy salsa.  The Baja steak was definitely a hit which was served during dinner.
In past years Kawakasaki's annual Shogun Event themes included mardi gras and a hawaiian theme.  Not only did the decor reflect the theme but the menu's as well.

Purple and White

When Shanna and Mark first approached me, one of their first requests was for me to find them an outdoor wedding site.  The one venue that came to my mind was Soka University.  Soka has a great outdoor venue and for small intimate weddings, they also offer a reception site.  Soka University can be a little difficult to book, due to some restrictions and insurance requirements that they have. We here at Pacific Hills have a great relationship with them,  and were able to streamline the process.  Anyone interested in having their event there is welcome to contact our catering department.

After the beautiful ceremony, guests were invited to Pacific Hills for the lavish reception that awaited them.  Shanna had put in a lot of work to make sure all the details were set.  Shanna set up the entrance where the very pretty place cards were set up, along with the AWESOME candy station, the beautiful ambiance,  and the lovely custom menu cards in their wedding colors ( purple and white)!  To top it all off, they had a photobooth for their guests, which was a huge hit! Photo booths are a great way to create a very special experience for you and your guests, and you will have great candid memories from your wedding!

Voila! Candy Station is always a hit!
Yum!
Beautiful way to GLAM UP some flowers!!
Photo booth fun!
