Zarina and Farhad's reception was really stunning. The couple chose to keep the colors in the wedding and reception green with black accents. As a nice compliment to the green and black, the the flowers were all white consisting of white roses, hydrangeas, and cymbidium orchids. The centerpieces were large black glass vases and some were short square black boxes with all white flowers with a damask ribbon around the box to match the damask table runners. Table runners are an inexpensive way to dress up a table.
The long tables they chose to have in the middle of the ballroom really made the decor stand out. It reminded me of those long lavish dinner tables set at a castle for a very important event. To spice up the entertainment they hired a band and a group of performers who performed two Bollywood dance pieces!
Tereasa from pirouettephotography.com did the photography. Tereasa and her assistant set up well in advance and got great ballroom shots before the guests arrived. She shot wonderful pictures of the whole event.
It was a blast coordinating the couples' reception and working with them to come up with the décor.
