The ceremony was held in our Newport ballroom, where we usually host the ceremony for our brides. The "altar" which Persians call Sofreh-aghd usually encompasses lavish ornaments and sweets that are displayed for guests while the bride and groom tie the "knot". The ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour; served were various eggplant dishes and a variety of other Persian cuisines. The dinner is always a huge hit! Guests enjoyed chicken and beef kabobs and a variety of different rice dishes. The wedding was coordinated by Khaterah from www.prestigecoordination.com.
